HENRY DOYLE
President and Founder, Heaps & Doyle

Henry Doyle was a founder of Heaps & Doyle, a national company that has brought together Canada’s leading business advisory consultants under one banner. He headed a cohesive, integrated team dedicated to helping clients navigate the business of dentistry – from graduation to retirement.

After graduating from the University of Alberta with degrees in economics and education, Henry began a 15-year career in the finance sector, working for Commcorp, a division of CIBC (which eventually become CIT). In 2000 he joined Citibank Canada as an officer in the leasing division, CitiCapital, where he was instrumental in developing their healthcare finance department. Henry was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2002, building a financial portfolio exceeding $300 million in leases, loans and wholesale lines of credit. With a focus on dentistry, Henry achieved the Circle of Excellence award trip four times.

In March of 2007, Henry joined Al Heaps & Associates, and purchased company two years later. Here, he found his passion as an entrepreneur, and has grown the business to be one of the largest of its kind in Canada.

Ruth Chatel spent 20 years with Al Heaps & Associates, and is now a valuable part of the Heaps & Doyle executive team. She was instrumental in helping us become one of the largest dental practice valuations and transition specialists in British Columbia.

After attaining her license in 1997, Ruth briefly worked in residential and commercial real estate. Seeking new challenges, she joined Al Heaps & Associates. Ruth quickly learned to navigate the many facets involved in evaluating and determining accurate and fair market values. Under the mentorship of Al Heaps, Ruth has become well-versed in all aspects of the business. Ruth’s knowledge, work ethic and personality have made her a favourite among our clients – and a key to their successful sale.

Linda Anderson realizes that to be a successful leader you must understand the impact of change on a team. Change has been a constant in Linda’s career. She joined the Heaps & Doyle team in December 2019, and brings a wealth of insight and experience to her role.

As a coach, she recognizes talent, skill, and knowledge in people. She has an ability to get the most from dental teams. She’s also an expert in case presentation, account receivables, scheduling, and other services essential to success in the dental field. Linda continually strives to help her clients achieve their vision and get the best returns on their investments.

Linda is a member of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants, and a Continuing Dental Education instructor at the University of Toronto. She is a Certified Training Practitioner and recently was certified in the KOLBE assessment of unique ability. Linda has completed many courses in leadership, mediation, and case presentation, and received certification in adult education through St. Francis Xavier University.

Corinne began her career as a dental assistant and went on to become a dental hygienist and clinical hygiene instructor. She eventually turned her attention to practice management coaching, and now holds a certificate in adult education from St. Francis Xavier University.

Corinne has extensive knowledge of non-surgical periodontal therapy and clinical coaching. She continues to evolve her coaching expertise into areas such as team building, leadership, management, and communication skills. She is driven to achieve results and inspires others to give their best.

Karly Edwards has worked throughout British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the UK. A registered dental assistant with 15 years of practice experience, she is now a Dental Coach with Heaps & Doyle.

After graduating from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2004, she has worked in several different clinical and reception roles, gaining experience in most facets of a dental practice. Since 2012, she’s managed multiple clinics in Regina, Saskatchewan. She also received her certificate in adult education from St. Francis Xavier University in 2017, which ignited her passion for coaching.

Karly is the current president of the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants Association, and a member of the Dental Officer Managers of Canada. She thrives when working closely with a team, and knows the importance of a collaborative approach.

A former dental assistant, restorative dental hygienist, office owner and administrator, Sue has first-hand experience with many of the difficulties, challenges, and successes new and established practices face.

Now a dental coach, Sue is a certified adult educator, co-active life and leadership coach, dental practice management coach, and trainer.

Sue has mastered the ability navigate the complex relationships between employers, employees, and patients. She is skilled at guiding dentists and teams through the transition process, and creates an open environment for expressing concerns. Fazle Naqvi is a commercial leasing expert and broker of record with Heaps & Doyle. As an experienced executive, he brings years of senior management and entrepreneurship experience to the team.

In this role, Fazle focuses on lease reviews and negotiations, and is also part of our cross-Canada brokerage team. Throughout his career, he has helped negotiate many leases with landlords big and small across Canada – and worked with one of Canada’s largest restaurant chains as its head of leasing.

Fazle graduated with an MBA from Delhi University, a master’s degree in management from McGill University and a post-grad diploma in digital business from Emeritus University. He is also the co-founder of two venture capital-funded businesses that he successfully helped build and sell, and has worked with Unilever and Coats Viyella, two well-known Fortune 500 companies.

She began her dental career as a certified Dental Assistant in 2005. Captivated by the business aspect of the dental office, she quickly advanced – first as a treatment co-ordinator and then office manager. Working with multiple dental practices, each with unique situations, she has played an integral role in implementing office strategies and systems. Melanie has established a successful practice in personal/corporate insurance and estate planning. She proved an invaluable resource to The College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, where she completed office audits for the PERP program.
